Turn your scars into stars – Robert H. Schuller

or…

The scars of others should teach us caution.
St. Jerome

We’ve named the new feature of The Compound. The Scar is a 50 foot wide swath of destruction, compliments of the electric company. Funny how the year I decide to clear the back fence line myself, and do so – by hand – is the year they show up in October with a Fern Gully type tree chewing machine. Did they have to go so wide? Really?
Positive side: this will make a kick-ass downhill portion of the cross-country ski trail.

I can’t find the pic of the scar that you put on the front page with this post. I click on the thumbnail and just go here, nor can I find it in the albums. How do I find it?

    • JA says:

maybe you just need to come and see for yourself.
Bring grass seed and a rake.

    • Mike says:

      @ John, get a Mac :P

Holy crap does that terrible. DIGing the Fer Gully reference.

      • Mike says:

That should have said look terrible, I should proof read more closely.

        • John says:

Would the link go to the picture if I was using a Mac? The internet link is the same in either computers.

Besides, why would I want a Mac? That would be like selling my Lincoln so I can drive a Volkswagon?!

          • Mom says:

            Don’t knock VW’s. We have 2.
May not be as classy looking as a Lincoln but it sure can go!!!
My Mac goes a heck of a lot faster than my PC at work!
            Tell him Julie.

Perhaps you can learn how to deal with this blight by reading a back issue of Geo’s Scar, Fish and Auto magazine
