The ballpark experience

Spring Training dog

Celebrating Saturday at the livingroom ballpark, with Compound stylings of Spring Training Chi-Cubs Nacho Chili Cheese dogs.

That’s a dog with chili, salsa, onions, nacho cheese and topped with corn chips. Yummy!

One doesn’t bite into one of these as much as they slide it from the plate into their gaping maw. And you can’t stop eating it or it will continue its slide right on down your shirt.

I admitted to George afterwards that I forgot the onions. His reply, “Opening Day weekend is ruined”. I hope my omission doesn’t prove fatal to my boys’ season

Go Tigers!

For some mysterious reason Sean is a Cubs fan. He says he’s never heard of these.

We had our own hot dog experience today because it’s Girl Guide Cookie Day! Twice a year – though this is the last, we’ve vowed – Sparks, Brownies and Guides and their sometimes surly parents flock to garage to sell more than 200 cases of cookies. I always end up cooking the hot dogs before settling in the backyard, weather permitting, for a beer or two and enjoying the fruits of my labour, namely, a hot dog.
