4 reasons the new dog is actually a cat

1 a) He has tried to come in the house through the cat window.
1 b) He has tried to leave the house through the cat window
2) He knows well enough how to sit, stay, lie down and shake a paw – but too often looks at you with the dull stare that says “No, not right now. I’d don’t feel like it”
3) He doesn’t like car rides. Every dog on the planet loves car rides. In obedience training we’re told to call out “Car ride” as an incentive when learning “come when called”. Cohiba is reluctant to get into the car, and would rather flop to the ground, forcing you to pick him up and load him in like groceries or luggage.
4) He plays with yarn. Yarn! Not his first offence, but the worst example when I came home from Edmonton to find the current sweater project on the floor, the purple yarn up and down the hallway, across the bedroom and even in tangles on the bed (BTW, and he’s not allowed on the bed.) Mixed in with this sweater yarn was an unravelled skein of brown wool apparently pilfered from a bag in my studio. And when George came home later he asked “Why is there yarn on the deck?” Outside?!?!? Yes, a third ball of grey wool was outside.

Ha ha…nice cat. BTW – Wizard likes strings too, he quickly turns rope balls to shreds and runs around whipping everyone with them. Slobber balls turned to wet spaghetti noodles. ;) MEOW!

Perhaps the spirit of Compounds cats of yesteryear have taken him over. Bwahahaha!

Glad to see a picture of him. Hope all the training is going well, especially for the cats’ sake.
