Beneath this snowy mantle cold and clean

The Compound lies in wait; unfinished projects hide unseen.
The snowbird sings the song he always sings,
And speaks to me of ventures that will start again in spring.

    How poetic!!!!!

  2. John says:

When I was young the Compound was young then, too

Any job that it would tell me, that’s the job that I would do

But now I feel such emptiness within

For the job the compound wants most in life’s the job that I can’t end.

  3. JA says:

Spread your tiny wings and fly away,
The snow will fall for months now as you see it does today.
As long as I don’t get stuck in the drive,
I’ll see you once again, with chores, when you and spring arrive

  4. Mom says:

    I beg of you,please
    Keep the snow out west
    I don’t like to freeze.
    I like autumn the best!

  5. JA says:

Psssst…. we’re changing the lyrics of Anne Murray’s “Snowbird”. Next verse starts “The breeze along the river seems to say,…”
