The Compound lies in wait; unfinished projects hide unseen. The snowbird sings the song he always sings,
And speaks to me of ventures that will start again in spring.

Spread your tiny wings and fly away,
The snow will fall for months now as you see it does today.
As long as I don’t get stuck in the drive,
I’ll see you once again, with chores, when you and spring arrive
How poetic!!!!!
When I was young the Compound was young then, too
Any job that it would tell me, that’s the job that I would do
But now I feel such emptiness within
For the job the compound wants most in life’s the job that I can’t end.

I beg of you,please
Keep the snow out west
I don’t like to freeze.
I like autumn the best!
